How I write
I often find that my most productive time to write is late at night. I enjoy the solitude and time with the various characters that I create.
I find writing when inspiration hits to be my best opportunity to get pages done. That doesn't mean I don't spend time throughout the day thinking of a story, but rather allow the characters to speak to me without the pressure of sitting in front of a blank page.
Inspiration comes through a variety of sources, at times an obscure sentence about a person or event. It's all about asking the questions: who are you, what are you, what is behind this event, or why is this happening...
Writing erotica is a challenge in and of itself. I usually enjoy writing to music, allowing the music to help me convey my thoughts to the blank screen.
Revising a manuscript is just as challenging, but I often have an opportunity to include more detail and enrich the story in ways I didn't imagine while writing the first draft.
I welcome questions from all readers regarding writing, publishing, or marketing. Have a question...go to my contact page and send me an email. :)Futuristic Romances
The first full length novel I'd ever written was a futuristic. That story is yet unpublished, but I love a genre where I can create different societies and cultures without any rules besides my own.
The complexity can be as simple as having characters fall in love while racing against time. Or there can be more intricacy through a clash of cultures, religions, or needs.
Writing futuristic romances are versatile because the characters are familiar, yet not of this Earth.
I currently have a futuristic novella tenatively titled, Astral Pleasures completed. I hope to have it published sometime in 2011.Paranormal romances
I love the idea of vampires, demons and shapeshifters. The power associated with these creatures is so alluring, it makes you want to know them despite the dangers.
There is nothing more fun than reading about being that one special woman who touches the heart of a man, no other woman can touch.
